Pretty good performance, but pricey

The actual performance of AWS is solid, though you’re definitely paying a premium for it. You need to plan for failures, but you can manage with open-...
source tools instead of buying their proprietary ones. It works well if you’re prepared, but the cost can sting.

Confusing and hard to use

Right from the free trial, it was a mess to navigate. I wanted to try out their VDI setup, so I created a directory and activated a workspace profile....
But after downloading the client, which only works smoothly on Ubuntu and forces you to use snapd on Debian, I couldn’t connect at all. Even the web client didn’t work, despite adding my public IP to the trusted list. I didn’t have time to waste, so I gave up and closed my account. If they want regular users, they need to make the dashboard and guides way clearer. Right now, it feels like they’re only good for clients working through partners. A Linux-based VDI service that handles Windows images better could easily outshine them, Citrix and Azure included.

Watch out for them changing the deal after you pay.

At first I thought WPX was a really good deal. But after I paid for a whole year upfront, it looks like they want to charge me to move a site even tho...
ugh they said migrations were free. I've been talking to S Kalov about moving a site but he won't do it unless I pay $99. I shouldn't have to beg support for days to get something they advertised as free. I wanted to stay with them long term but after this I'm looking for another host when my year is up. Make sure all your sites are moved before you pay for the year, because they won't do it if they think you're stuck with them.
