A Promising Start That Ended in Frustration

I was initially really impressed with x10Hosting’s free plan. They offer a surprising amount of features at no cost, and I loved the value it provided...
. As a web developer, I started recommending it to clients who were on a tight budget, and everything was going well until issues began piling up. The biggest problem came when x10Hosting suspended not only my account but also the accounts of every client whose hosting credentials I used to manage their sites. The reason given was a violation of their terms, but it felt extreme, especially since I was only making updates and changes on my clients’ behalf. The suspension forced me to spend weeks relaunching all their sites elsewhere, not to mention dealing with the embarrassment and strain on those client relationships. To make matters worse, their support team was completely unresponsive throughout the entire ordeal. On a separate occasion, they suspended one of my sites simply for creating a subdomain called “mailer.site.x10.mx” which was part of setting up a mailing system for a site that, at the time, had solid traffic for a free hosting user. It’s a real shame how things turned out. What began as a generous and developer-friendly service ended up feeling like a push toward premium plans through punitive enforcement and poor communication. I wanted to believe in their model, but the experience left too much damage to overlook.

Kinsta refuses to address business impersonation, violates their own ToS

Kinsta's handling of a site on their platform that impersonates my business is totally unacceptable. The site shows my business name, phone number, an...
d my professional license number, creating false affiliation and misleading consumers in my regulated Texas industry. I reported this with evidence of impersonation and false designation under the law. They disabled outbound email but refuse to suspend the site, wrongly insisting on DMCA procedures even though this clearly isn't a copyright issue. In my opinion, Kinsta is violating its own Terms of Service sections about misleading content, malicious activity, legal compliance, and suspension authority. Despite multiple notices, the issue continues because their customer won't remove my info even after being legally notified they have no authorization. I'm now filing complaints with the FTC, Texas AG, and other agencies. I'll share my experience on BBB, Google, Reddit, and elsewhere. For businesses in regulated fields, this is a warning: don't support this company because they enable impersonation and consumer confusion. Update: Kinsta finally blocked public access to the site with my info. I'm not changing my one star review because I had to submit a formal legal notice citing their own ToS to get them to act. This was an obvious legal issue they should have handled immediately. To Kinsta, thanks for finally doing what you were supposed to do.
