A huge difference

I’m finally getting the website I actually want. My first experience with another provider made me feel like a nuisance once they had my money. They d...
idn’t care until it was time to renew. The people I’m working with now actually care. They really know their stuff and are super helpful. I can’t wait to publish my new site. I’m thinking of moving all my business here.

Surprise fees and unclear billing

Update: Bumped my rating after their team quickly stepped in to help. I signed up for a Nexcess plan at $9.60 a month in June 2025, but got hit with a...
$141.60 charge, including a $132 fee I didn’t agree to or see coming. No heads-up, no explanation, just a shock to my wallet. I disputed the extra $132 with support, not the base plan. It’s frustrating when pricing isn’t clear, and this felt like a trust issue. If you’re looking at Nexcess, double-check their billing. You might end up paying way more than you planned without warning.

They overcomplicate everything

They make things way more complicated than they need to be. Oh, and it costs $800 just to start an e-commerce site. You have to pay yearly, no monthly...
option. For a business just getting started, $800 is a lot. That doesn’t even include a domain or hiring freelancers if you need one—because their platform is so messy and all over the place. Good luck trying to build a website with them, because you’ll get frustrated and quit long before you ever make a dollar. Just try vibe coding instead, it’s much better and easier. You can host your e-commerce sites right from the vibe coding platform. I recommend onspace.ai or emergent.sh. WordPress is going the way of the dodo bird because vibe coding is taking over. Sorry WordPress, but you suck.

No support for critical site issues

I’ve been with Nexcess for years, but their support has tanked recently. My e-commerce site was down almost all day, and our dev team gave them clear ...
fixes to apply right away. Four hours later, no response. No phone support, and live chat just pushes you to tickets. If you run an online business, avoid them—you’ll be left hanging with no help.
