I seriously can't stand this company
I hate this company so much. Every single website you go to now makes you click that stupid little box to prove you're a human, like a thousand times. It's so annoying. These control freaks have taken over the whole internet with their nonsense.
Better to just use Bunny instead
My host changed their IP and I didn't notice. When I went to update my DNS records on Cloudflare, it blocked me with two-factor authentication. I couldn't even get the code because my email is also with Cloudflare.
Their support is honestly the worst I've experienced from any CDN company, and I'm on a Pro Plan.
I'm telling everyone to just go with Bunny. They're faster, the interface is simpler, and their prices are better.

Makes your internet super slow
It slows everything down to a complete crawl. What's even the point of paying for a fast internet connection when this garbage completely ruins it? It's so frustrating!
Locked our storage for less than a dollar
They suddenly blocked our R2 storage bucket because of an unpaid bill of 72 cents, and they didn't even send us a warning email or notification. The worst part is their billing system is broken, so you can't even just pay the stupid amount. You're just locked out for a full day. I really don't recommend relying on them too much.
Their DNS service works well for me
Cloudflare's DNS servers are quick and reliable. I have a bunch of domains and it makes managing them all much less of a headache, even though they very rarely have an outage.
Their startup program is a lie for marketing
That startup program is just fake marketing. I applied with my company and they rejected me, saying my business wasn't software-related. I honestly hope all of their servers crash soon.

Really impressive, even the free version!
My WordPress site was getting hit by bot attacks for weeks.
I tried blocking them myself with .htaccess rules, but it just got worse and I started blocking real visitors by accident. Then I set up Cloudflare, added a few simple rules, and watched it work. I was shocked.
Even with the free plan, the results were amazing. My shared hosting server on Greengeeks used to have daily CPU spikes, now it barely goes above 30%. Really impressive stuff.
Crashed again
It happened on November 18th, 2025... and now again today, December 5th!
Pointless service
It keeps stopping me from getting onto my local gym's website. That seems pretty dumb to me.
No way to talk to support
If you're a free user, you can't get any help. The website is confusing, menus don't make sense, some pages are just blank, you can't even delete your account, and the help guides are out of date.
Cloudflare is total trash
Cloudflare is slow and it's making me switch to a different provider who doesn't use this annoying screening software. It's a shame for my current host because they're going to lose my business over this.

Wow, so I guess everyone is a robot at this point. I click the "I'm not a robot" box, it loads, and then it tells me to do it again. I tried like 20 times before I just gave up and wrote this. If Cloudflare has such terrible reviews, like 1.4 stars, why do all the popular websites use it? Like ChatGPT, neal.fun... can't they see the reviews?

Terrible experience
It was horrible. I only lasted a few hours before deleting my account. It's impossible for beginners. My account got stuck in some weird state where it was never fully set up, I couldn't add any static Pages because that feature was never activated for my account. Wasting those few hours was incredibly annoying. I hate cloudflare.
No reply after I emailed them to get access…

My thoughts as a long-time Cloudflare user
I've used Cloudflare for a long time, but what happened yesterday, November 18th 2025, was a real wake-up call. For more than two hours, half the internet went down, including big names like ChatGPT and Spotify, plus my own business services. Here's my honest opinion about Cloudflare after this huge outage.
Makes the internet worse
It's not reliable at all. Every time a website uses it, it wastes everyone's time. I know one site that has this, and they show that annoying waiting screen at least a dozen times a day. And then it just randomly fails and knocks out a huge chunk of the internet like it did yesterday.
System failure
The system failed, and now many of my clients' websites can't be reached.

They protect scammers and spammers
They must do zero checks, looking at some of the scammers and spammers they protect... that's when their service isn't down... which it is, again!!
Pretty slow and not reliable
It's pretty slow and you can't rely on it. Our website regularly has downtime because of problems on Cloudflare's servers. We're leaving and moving to a different platform that doesn't use this service.
Cloudflare should have been shut down years ago
Cloudflare should have been gotten rid of ages ago. It does nothing to make websites better, just makes everything slower. Any gaming or casino site that uses it deserves to lose all their customers!

This is the most annoying pop up when you try to open any normal website. What's it even for? Customers can't contact who they want and it's really hard to get rid of it 😡😡😡😡
