STATUS: Fraud
After doing a lot of research for a basic Web site hosting plan I chose Hawk Host for my small business, registered and paid for 1 year only to find out one week later when trying to set up my website that I had no products and the status of my account was Fraud. There was no follow up nor any try to contact me. I certainly don't plan to prove to them they are wrong and will move my website to a hosting provider that actually wants customers.
CPU usage is always over 50% in Cpanel
I have been using a Shared Hosting plan on Hawk Host for over 4 years. Everything was great. But in the past 8 months, the website has been running very slow. Especially when posting articles in the backend, the website almost always gives a 503 error. After about 4 months of asking professionals to check for code issues, everyone confirmed the code in my WordPress site was not the problem. I sent a request to Hawk Host. They answered by telling me to check the plugins and website theme on WordPress. I did the following: I turned off all plugins on all websites. I switched all themes to WordPress’s default theme, Twenty Twenty-Four. But after checking the host, the CPU Usage was still around 50% and sometimes hit 100%. This means whether my website is hosted or not, the CPU Usage stays over 50%.

I have been really disappointed with Hawk Host’s lack of care about DMCA compliance. I reported a website on their servers that clearly broke my copyright. Even though I followed the right steps and sent a real DMCA notice, Hawk Host did nothing and didn't even answer my tickets. This lack of response is worrying, because it shows they either don't care about intellectual property rights or aren't professional enough to handle these things quickly. Copyright protection is a big deal for any real hosting provider, and their failure here makes me doubt their overall commitment to customer service and legal duties. If you want a hosting provider that values copyright compliance and has responsive support, I can't recommend Hawk Host based on what happened to me.

It's like 4 years I have an account with them. If you are a professional in digital marketing you don't expect from a hosting that they coddle you or spend time snuggling. You want them to be solid, and in my experience, they are. I had one downtime only and it was totally solved in one day.
The speed of the shared hosting is okay (they could still get better but it's better than many others).
The customer service is helpful. Some other hostings offer real time customer service, and make you pay a lot for it. Other hostings give you the worst customer service possible and charge crazy prices. Never choose this hosting company again. Have been using their service more than 1 year and chose auto subscription payment. paid via PayPal on 2023/11/13 for small website service from 2023/11/14-2023/12/13, found out on 2023/12/01 (because they’ll cut off your service immediately anyway). The CS team told me the reason is payment on hold on paypal side, so I contacted PayPal, after 1-2 days still no response from them, so I opened a dispute. Then here’s the reply from the team: we will not take any further action on resolving this issue until the dispute is closed which will result in your hosting service and all associated data being terminated. After that I paid with another credit card, they’re still suspending the service you should get even though your payment confused them. What a great support team, if you want to experience support yourself, please choose them.

Made an account and paid for a hosting package with cryptocurrency and the package didn't show up in my account. They don't have livechat and you have to send a ticket with no replies. The next minute, I get an email about a refund and when I took that option, they sent me to a different website to make an account... I think it's a way to steal my info or hack my wallet. Website down for 14h and no communication from Hawkhost
today 11/7/23 many people had websites down from Hawkhost. The problem is that: they don't communicate no notification to affected clients no time estimate for the fix no reply on emails they even removed chat from their site. A normal company would have an emergency phone line but Hawkhost doesn't care about customers. We will be leaving ASAP, they are not reliable.

Best shared web hosting compared to other big companies. Less drama and more features. However, if you are using WordPress and install too many plugins or use heavy themes, your cms dashboard might be slow.
