Hetzner Review

I tried to create an account with Hetzner and provided all the required documents, but they straight up rejected my application without giving any reason.
I've used other cloud providers before, and none have ever done this. It's really frustrating. I'd suggest looking elsewhere for hosting.

I used Hetzner's services for quite some time and spent a significant amount of money.
I had to terminate services a few times and asked for some flexibility, which I think is reasonable after being a customer for over a year. However, Hetzner didn't respond to my requests and instead sent my invoice to a collection agency. It's really disappointing.
I wouldn't recommend them and will look for other providers.

Hetzner closed my account without any warning, and all my services stopped working. This really messed up my work because I can't access my data or backups anymore.

I've contacted support and even offered to verify my identity again, but they haven't helped me recover my files.
It's unacceptable to close accounts like this without letting customers backup their data.
If this isn't fixed, I'll tell all my business contacts to avoid Hetzner.

I've been with Hetzner for a while. Their prices and hardware are okay, but I've had big problems with network reliability and support. Recently, I've been dealing with intermittent packet loss and high latency that affects my HTTP and SSH services.

From my tests, the packet loss starts in Hetzner's core network. When I reported it, support kept saying there was no packet loss and blamed my setup, even though I showed them evidence. They were dismissive and didn't escalate to the network team. If support can't handle network issues properly, the good prices don't matter.

I hope they improve, but for now, I can't recommend them for anything needing stable networking.

It seems like Hetzner is trying to steal personal data. They ask you to upload your ID documents, but as soon as you do, they deactivate your account and you can't log in anymore. You also can't delete your data. It really looks like a scam.

The customer service is terrible. I uploaded my documents for account verification, but then they suspended my account and all services without explanation.
They should at least tell me what's wrong with the verification. I'm happy to take my business elsewhere.

I warn everyone to avoid Hetzner because of their lack of transparency and respect for privacy.

I tried to sign up with Hetzner on September 19, 2025. I hadn't even bought anything, but after updating my account info, they deactivated and rejected my account without explanation. I'm worried because I might have entered my credit card details, and I don't know if they're still stored. This verification process is too strict and the rejection is frustrating. I'd be very careful about giving Hetzner your personal or payment information.
