InMotion Hosting Review

My website worked for a long time with no changes from me. But it went down last week. I contacted the support team and they replied right away. It turned out the problem was old plugins that didn't work with the new PHP. The team got me back online immediately, gave extra help with other issues I hadn't paid attention to, and gave me links for helpful things to do soon.

The speed of the reply, and how well they communicated were very helpful.

I've been using VPS services from InMotion for many years now. They've always been really helpful with technical issues the few times I needed help. But right now they seemed to go a bit above by giving me a little extra time to pay an invoice while I keep looking for a job. Something I'm really thankful for. I always tell people about them if they're looking for hosting.

My website wasn’t working, and the tech person helped fix the issue that was causing database errors. They also explained the problem well and told me to reach out again if it came back.

They are always fast to reply, know what they're doing, and helpful.

Usually problems get fixed using Chat (I've had a few for different reasons in the last week or so.). But it depends on who I chat with. Some are excellent but others don't seem as good. And wait times change from immediate to 30-45 minutes.

After previous tries by some InMotion people didn't work: The last person asked the right questions and then went step by step to solve the problem.

On Dec. 28, 2025 I got this email: "The AutoSSL certificate expires on Jan 7, 2026." AutoSSL didn't renew the certificate for my site. and I had to do something to keep the site secure. I sent a message to Inmotion and the technician Eric Ca. fixed it for me almost right away. He also told me this was something new and not needed. Good job!

Alyssa M was professional, efficient and sorted the issue in a single echat.

She quickly understood the situation -- SSL auto update didn't work -- helped me find which InMotion account handled the update and get back in.
She explained what she was doing, said how long it would take and checked back often to update me.

I've been using InMotion Hosting for quite a few years. To start, their support team is fantastic! They've always been helpful and fixed my website problems fast and answered my questions. Their prices are fair and again, their support has been awesome. That's very important to me because I know basics about making a website, but sometimes DNS, Wordpress apps that crash the site, etc. I need help and they always deliver. I fully recommend them.
Basics: I use cPanel for Wordpress.

I've been using their services on multiple servers. The support is pretty good, the servers are good, and most of the server security is pretty good.

The people at InMotion are always super helpful whenever something comes up that I need help with, this time it was a problem with outgoing emails getting marked by the other person's server. He knew just where to look to see what was happening and then sent a de-list request to SpamRL and 'voila', email problems are gone. Thanks!

Everyone I've dealt with at the company has been extremely helpful, going out of their way to make sure the move from a VPS to a dedicated server went smoothly and happened fast within the original quote, without any extra charges.

We pay for hosting at a couple different companies. It's hard to judge a company’s service when things are just fine. Unfortunately when you have enough accounts, things go wrong. It just happens, and when it does, InMotion is ON IT! They work to help us figure out the problem and fix it. We've been with them for a year or two and plan to move our other hosting companies here. The product is high quality, the service is on-point. We really recommend this company.

With a simple, cheap, complete hosting plan an author doesn't have many server worries! I'm pretty sure they even updated the back end so it doesn't take up space in pre-code making them reliable too.

Had what looked like a DDoS attack on my account and sites. InMotion took my sites down, sent me an email telling me, and gave me instructions on how to move things behind Cloudflare. During that I did the chat thing with two different tech support people. Chat was immediate. Support was immediate. Replies were fast and exactly about the problem. Very friendly and very helpful. Sites back up and running within an hour or so. Excellent support.

I couldn't get my issue fixed using the chat, and unfortunately wasted a lot of time. I decided to try calling and was lucky enough to speak with Aleksa K. He very quickly saw what the issue was, and told me he would take care of it and would follow up. My issue was fixed soon after talking with him and he sent me an email to confirm it was fixed

Over the years tech has been there instantly (pretty much) when I wanted. I say wanted instead of needed because the mistakes and worries were all mine. Still, I've always been met with good humor and understanding. Nothing has ever stayed unfixed for longer than it took me to start the corrections. I don't know why anyone would host anywhere else but here.

First of all there is a live person who listens fully, who carefully makes sure they understand the issue and who explains everything as the issue is being fixed. The service is better than most services we get today. Second, there is follow up with emails that sums up what was done and if more services are suggested, a referral is given. Pure excellence.

I've put dozens of web clients on the InMotion Hosting systems. The tech support is excellent, the technology is modern, there are so many options/apps/frameworks to pick from. I tried a few other hosting companies because clients asked, but neither they or i were happy. They moved their services to InMotion.
