InMotion Hosting Review

I have been with InMotion Hosting for a while, and before that I was with another well-known provider (no need to say names, as I do not believe in that), who were extremely poor. They took their market position for granted, so customer service did not mean much to them. Nor did customer happiness.

Since switching, I have been really impressed with InMotion, especially in fixing the bad things about the other provider. My current contact was in fact a loss for InMotion, as they lost out on money, and yet they were willing to help me. The customer service person, who I'll call Stephen, was very respectful and went out of his way to help me.

Money has been tight for a few years and so, instead of doing the regular update at full cost, unfortunately, I am having to take the cheap way of buying the same plan at the lower price, while this is not against the terms and service, for me it is against the spirit of fairness, as business run to make money for the service they offer and we must all be fair.

Yet, Stephen and InMotion, knowing my nasty action, still treat me as a human. My interactions with them, no matter what, as in this case, me taking from them, have always been top class. I would highly recommend InMotion. This recommendation is not just based on this interaction, but also since I moved to the brighter side. Thanks, guys!

I've used InMotion for almost ten years to host websites. They're good – solid features, always getting better, nice value for money, no issues with how things work or uptime.

What makes them special is their customer service. I'm more of a designer than a developer, so I've needed their help. They always - really always - deliver. I usually reach out via chat, but I've called too. They're professional, friendly, and helpful. For this to be the case across many agents, for nearly 10 years – that shows standards, and a culture, that I'm comfortable trusting with my business.

Getting to understand some of the "technical" terms that are used made the effort to renew my service via chat harder than it was when I did it before.

I asked for help to deal with vulnerabilities for our PCI Compliance. It was sent to Advanced Support. Cory B. took care of issues and told me how to handle everything else. Every quarter it seems I need their support and they always come through.

I never have any issues with anyone at in motion hosting. I can call/email and mostly chat my questions and then jump right on it.

Inmotion Hosting's customer service is outstanding. Calls, emails and chats are answered fast. Techs are well-trained, and patiently walk me through the steps or fix things themselves. Everyone I have spoken to is respectful and kind, knowledgeable and quick.

Jesse Tr was patient thorough, and extremely knowledgeable and resourceful. She answered so many questions, fixed several issues, answered every question and did so many tests to make sure we found the root cause. Very encouraging all around! Phenomenal support and a great example of service!

Eric Ca quickly gave the exact information I needed to update (add more) DNS records at Microsoft. He also attached a helpful picture showing where each domain’s DNS records are pointing now, which made it easy for me to see where to add the needed entries. I really appreciate the clarity and support—thank you!

InMotion Hosting is the best hosting company in the universe. It’s a 25-year-old, US-based business with polite and helpful customer service agents only in the United States. Their account management website is extremely easy to use.

You can get customer service by phone or creating a ticket, no long waits on hold. It was very easy to move my domain. They are also about 50% cheaper than GoDaddy (who I had an account with for 12 years) and you don't have to use the annoying Microsoft Authenticator or be tied to any proprietary software apps.

I first asked by email with the company about moving my domain on a Saturday night at 10:00 P.M. not expecting a reply until Monday. I got an email 30 minutes later!

I use InMotion to host two domains for personal, academic use and email. But they also host many business accounts, too. InMotion Hosting does a much better job with several hundred staff than some companies with thousands of people.

I’m impressed with the ethical values of the company and they have a great reputation treating their staff well and being a good place to work (those things should matter to customers). I wish every company and organization I deal with was as terrific as InMotion Hosting.

One of the only consistently excellent customer services experiences I know of.

InMotion has been the easiest part of starting and running a business. The service is unmatched. I have never had an issue that wasn't fixed as soon as reasonable possible, and the staff goes above and beyond to help me understand! Just this last week I used their chat feature to talk with a real person and got my answer fast and let’s just call it…. Kindly. InMotion helps me focus on what’s important to my business instead of trying to figure out all the details of my hosting (like the importance of an SSL and how to forward my domain email).

InMotion Hosting is the best! I have been with them for many years and wouldn't think of changing. They have reliable services, clear billing, and an amazing support team. I am glad I found the right team because it is hard nowadays to find good honest service.

Overall, I'd rate InMotion hosting 3 stars for the service speed, 4 for account/site management tools (cPanel), and 5 for some of the customer service replies.

Recently, Dan St. quickly helped me by finding what put the site down and gave details on what we could do next to stop similar issues. He added other technical details that were very helpful to understand the issue.

I talked with Joshua. He listened as I explained what I am trying to do - which is to forward a domain that I thought was forwarded to one of my sites, but someone who'd worked on my site had instead forwarded it to aws. I've been a customer of InMotion Hosting for years. What I value most in this company is their fast real time real person support for the many issues that can come up managing my own website.
During an age of bots and AI, they keep providing real people and a real phone number to call them 24/7. Recently I was getting messages on my Wordpress newsletter program that said I needed to go into my C panel and convert the plugin's tables to an InnoDB engine! I didn't even know what that was much less how to fix it plus I was traveling abroad. Still, I sent in a ticket and within several hours the issue was fixed by a wonderful person named Nathan Pat saving me hundreds of dollars and hours of headache.
This is why I've been a customer for years with InMotion Hosting.

I've had business websites since 1999, which means I've experienced many hosting companies. I have learned some lessons. One of the big lessons is quick access to experts who can solve problems immediately. InMotionHosting.com leads the pack, in my opinion. Also, InMotionHosting is independent and I'm told it plans to stay that way. Newfold Digital and other companies are buying big hosting companies and the end result is that service suffers. Stop suffering. Try InMotion.

After nightmares of hosting with about 5 or so companies before inmotion hosting I first came to inmotion because the Free SSL cert and the great pricing for hosting packages no one else can beat but I stayed for the customer service every agent I talk to makes me want to pay more money I upgraded to the VPS 4 vCPU, 1 Month and I am very happy with the service uptime and resources given for the price

The Reps kept in touch regularly about the service I asked for. They gave updates and asked questions to complete my request to my satisfaction. They very skillfully and successfully fixed all of my website issues.
