The cost is relatively high and there's not much you can customize.

Never received my parcel and can't find any way to contact Shopify. Shopify should not be allowed to trade. DO NOT USE. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE BANNED.

Terrible company, I would stay very clear of Shopify. There are much better platforms around.

Cuidado con las tiendas que encontréis que vengan de aquí, porque pueden ser estafadores. Luego escribes a Shopify y se lavan las manos, como si no tuvieran responsabilidad. Si les pasa unas veces vale, pero parece que llevan mucho con este tipo de problemas y no le buscan una solución, como retener los pagos hasta que no se demuestre que los productos han llegado. Shopify es cómplice de estafa.

You can't contact them by email, and I don't even have access to the support live chat once I'm logged in. They keep taking money from my bank account while I have NOWHERE the option to unsubscribe or delete my account, mind you, I DON'T EVEN HAVE A STORE.

I don't even have an account with this company since last year and they are charging me for a service I don't even have, this company is nothing but a scam.

Shopify est une catastrophe totale pour les contacter quand il y a un problème avec une commande chez une de leurs compagnies. La procédure est trop compliquée et impossible pour signaler un souci. C'est la protection totale des vendeurs et les clients sont laissés dans le froid, c'est vraiment honteux !

Ordered an item via Shopify. After 3 weeks of not hearing anything other than the order confirmation, I tried to contact the company I had bought the item from only to find their website no longer existed and all emails bounced back. Tried to contact Shopify to report the issue and all I got was a message to say they had forwarded my email to the business. When I searched for contact Shopify support, got the same page where they forward your email to the business. Seems they collect their commission and then don't care. Be careful.

I never received a calendar I ordered on 12/03/2025. The seller LOVE HOLIDAY DECOR uses Shopify. The seller will not return my emails. Total scam!

They openly let scammers operate on their platform. There is a lot of money to be made by taking this company to court!

If there were a negative stars rating, that would be appropriate. I decided to try affiliate marketing with Shopify 3 years ago. I only signed up for a one-time one year subscription. But they charged me last year and then again this year. I did their cancellation procedure last year, but the charge appeared again this year. I am now chatting with a support person who is not helpful at all. Giving me the song and dance. Wouldn't ya know it, this is a Canadian company with no phone number to call? Don't do business with these idiots. Nothing but a rip off.

I ordered something for Christmas. It was never delivered from the merchant. I've tried to contact the merchant about seven or eight times. No response and then I tried to reach out to Shopify and they want the URL confirmation number. Whenever I click on my order it tells me that it can't even find it. Shopify is absolutely no help, they're out there to help companies scam people. There is absolutely no way to get help when the merchant doesn't even really exist but Shopify lets them sell items.

Is this a joke?
I contacted them to get some support for an order I didn't receive and no communication from the seller.
Their response: we have forwarded your inquiry to the seller, please contact them directly.
What's the point of having a support page then?

I ordered a vape and after a week I got the delivery. I literally opened it in front of the courier person while taking a video and all I got was a little shit gadget worth nothing instead of the actual product. Watch the attached video for proof. Wasted my money and don’t know if I am gonna get any refund.

J'ai passé une commande le 25/11 sur le site Isciacus hébergé par Shopify pour un cadeau de Noël. Le montant a été prélevé tout de suite sur mon compte. Le colis devait être livré sous 4 à 6 jours. Ne voyant rien arriver, j'ai tenté de joindre le site par mail et par téléphone. Aucune réponse. Le statut du colis apparait "en transit" depuis le 7 décembre. Je souhaite être remboursée mais je n'arrive à joindre personne ni sur Isciacus ni sur Shopify. Quelqu'un a-t-il rencontré les même soucis ?

More effort should be placed on verifying vendors. Paid $67 order 1045 for Faith Clogs Nov 7th. Never showed. No response from vendor despite multiple emails. Site is now down. Total scam.

Super easy to set up so they'll get your money.

Nowhere it said you can't cancel plans on android.
Seems kinda shady to me.

I had big issues with one of their vendor companies. After waiting almost a week without getting my order, I asked to cancel and get a refund. Instead of sending the refund back to my original payment method, they tried to push me toward store credit, which isn't what their own policy says.

I then tried to file a formal complaint through Shopify, but the company’s site wouldn't accept the product URL and kept giving me errors, so I couldn't even submit the complaint. Between the refund hassle and a broken complaint process, this has been a really frustrating and unprofessional experience. I would strongly warn others before ordering.

N'achetez jamais via cette plateforme. J'ai commandé un disque en novembre sur un site (fly vinyl records) qui s'avère être une arnaque. Quelques jours après ma commande, le site n'existait plus. J'ai envoyé un email au contact pour avoir le numéro de suivi du colis, j'ai eu un retour d'email indiquant que l'adresse mail n'existe plus. Quand j'ai contacté le service client de Shopify, à part des messages automatiques, aucune envie d'aider n'est manifestée. Ils sont complices de ces arnaques, ils touchent une commission sur les ventes !

Shopify not even a real shipping company. My package sat in a shipping center for 7 days without moving. Their website is useless. If you can, use FedEx, UPS, USPS should be your only mailing choice - did I say it LOUD enough? Shopify Sucks!

Ordered a cast iron pot got a thank you card and no pot. All the way to Europe from China. Just ridiculous.

They said I owe them money even though a payment didn’t work and they let me keep access to my account. I wanted to close my account and they purposely made it difficult. Even after I’ve followed all the steps to delete it, it doesn’t work. Absolute scam, don’t fall for its get rich quick scheme. The only way people make money off of it is through paid advertisements so they can scam more people.

Shopify seems nice at first, until you actually try to run something real on it. You pay the monthly plan, then the apps start piling up, each one with its own fee, just to get basic things working. Payments, subscriptions, analytics, upsells, all of it costs extra. By the time your store is usable, you're spending a lot of money every month before you even make a sale.

Then come the restrictions. Payments get reviewed, features get limited, and you're always adjusting to rules that change without warning. One policy issue and suddenly you're scrambling to keep the store alive. Support does answer, but it feels scripted and slow when you actually need help.

It feels less like a platform to build on and more like a toll road where every step costs something. If you're starting from zero with little money, Shopify makes it feel almost impossible.

I had a really disappointing experience with this company’s customer service. From start to finish, communication was slow, unhelpful, and often felt like they didn't care. When issues came up, I didn't get the support I needed, and it seemed like there was no real effort to fix my problems. This was the worst customer service I’ve ever had, and I wouldn't recommend using them. If you want good, helpful support, I'd avoid this service.

Die Firma lucato wirbt mit tollen Produkten in Deutschland. Leider ist das nur ein Zwischenhändler für eine billige Firma aus China. Sie werben damit, dass die Ware in Deutschland auf Lager ist, aber das stimmt nicht. Billiger Müll aus China. Und viel zu teuer.

Shopify stole £5,000 from me, they froze my money. I'm a seller and Shopify just glitched, asking for manual verification. I proved it was me making the sale, and even after approving everything, they decided to freeze my money without even giving a reason. I asked their useless support and they just stall me. I'm going to file a lawsuit and hire a lawyer to recover my money, because even their support doesn't know why my money isn't available for withdrawal.

Item was never received. No response to emails. They said the item had been delivered, it was not. This review is for a company called car-artistry.

It's one of the most useless, hopeless, wasteful, pathetic marketplaces I have ever signed up for. Two months in and nothing has happened. Meh. Glad it's only a dollar each month. Even then, I think it's too much. No thanks.

This is the worst platform I have ever used. I make a lot on eBay and Facebook. I used Shopify for the 3 months for $1 a month and I made $0. I canceled my account and removed my credit card on 12/11 & on 12/18 they charged my card $400.95. I used the chat to get this fixed and it took 48 minutes and you basically have to be a computer programmer to do all that they wanted me to do to get the money back that they stole. This was flat out theft and fraud. The platform is a nightmare to navigate and set up. Beware of this scam. Never again.

They get one star, because that was the lowest option to select. Shopify handled an online purchase for those language translation earbuds. Well, they got the money. Nothing ever came. A couple of weeks after the purchase went through, the 'track your order' tab suddenly said 'expired'. Shopify now showed as Shop. WTF? How can someone be so low to run a scam? Their 'contact us' was nothing but a joke. Any tries to contact ended up in an endless loop to nowhere. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THROUGH SHOPIFY! YOU WILL GET TAKEN FOR WHATEVER YOU SEND THEM!
