Complete disaster with Stablepoint
I used a hosting company that got bought by Stablepoint years ago, so I figured I’d give them a shot with a new reseller account.
Big mistake. Everything went wrong.
I asked about migrating a 5GB multisite, and they said 2-6 hours. I opened a ticket a week before my old host’s deadline, but it all fell apart. They started with quick replies, then slowed to once every couple of days, even though I kept stressing my deadline.
One guy sat on my ticket for over 48 hours, wasting time. Chat support was no help, and phone support promised callbacks that never came. I asked for an account upgrade to handle my 17GB sites, but they wouldn’t bill or upgrade until the migration was done, which they botched—only moving 300MB of 17GB and part of one site. They ignored my clear instructions and didn’t care my server was shutting down. No empathy, no urgency. I’m sticking with my old host’s grace period and moving elsewhere.
Their cheap price isn’t worth the hassle, and their promises are empty. Backups work, but that’s it. I’m using their 30-day refund and suggest you do too.
Update (10/14/2025): After Mimi reached out, they gave me a senior agent who fixed some complex Cloudflare and SSL issues quickly. Bumping to 3 stars for that, but I’ll update again after testing everything.

The support team, especially Halif, was lightning quick and really friendly. They’ve got patience for days, always polite, and almost every time I’ve chatted with them, my issue’s been fixed right there. It’s rare to get such reliable help!

Their servers are steady as a rock, with only a couple of hiccups when emails acted up. But the support crew is on point ... quick to reply and they know their stuff. I’m really happy with how they handle things.
Billing mess and terrible service
I’ve been with Stablepoint almost since they started, and they used to be great. But the last few years have been a mess since new management took over. Support’s gone downhill fast. I decided to move everything to another provider and asked to close my account and cancel all invoices. They disabled my account but kept charging me. I’ve asked multiple times to stop the invoices, but they ignore me. Chat’s useless without a support pin I can’t get, and phone support took forever to find my account, only to say they couldn’t help and I should email. It’s a total circus. Update (9/26): I got a refund, but then found out they deleted another unrelated site I ran. After more billing issues and wrong dates, I moved that site too. The ‘Customer Advocacy’ team fixed things, but the stress and time weren’t worth it. Can’t recommend them.

I manage a few sites with Stablepoint and recently canceled two. But when I tried logging into another, it was gone too! It wasn’t even tied to the same details, but someone clearly messed up and canceled the wrong site without double-checking. This kind of carelessness makes me question what else they’re missing. I’m seriously thinking about moving my other sites somewhere safer.
