Website.com is supporting my fashion business
I just started my fashion outlet using Website.com, it's my first business and I'm really excited.
I hope my family always supports me like they do now. So far so good.
Worst experience, rude and dishonest
Honestly, where do I even begin? If you want to deal with people who are rude, condescending, and have zero integrity, then this is the place. And don't even think about trying to get your money back. There's a reason so many reviews are bad, trust me on that.
Pretty decent website overall
Website.com is a decent website builder, does what it needs to do.
Paid $300 for lifetime service, got nothing
I bought a lifetime Pro service, but my dashboard shows I have no active plan. I contacted customer service, got an automated reply saying they'd get back to me. It's been 6 days now, and still no response and no service. Basically threw $300 down the drain.
Everything is fine until you try to cancel
Their service works fine until you decide to cancel. I was with them for about two years and wanted to transfer my domain. When I asked for the transfer code, they said I owed $20 or they wouldn't give it to me. It didn't seem fair, but what could I do? After paying, it felt like I was signing up again. I think they used this trick to lock my domain since you can't transfer within 60 days. They were upset I was leaving, but the real reason I left was their customer service. Just wanted to put this out there for others.

We've been using them for a while now and customer service has always been decent. But today our nonprofit account got frozen and we needed help with billing. Brandon was absolutely wonderful, super prompt and supportive. Really saved the day.

Charging extra to change nameservers is ridiculous
I'm really disappointed with their domain service. I bought a domain, but when I tried to change the nameservers, they demanded an extra $20. That's just unfair. No reputable hosting company charges for DNS updates after purchase. Every other provider I've used lets you do it for free. This feels like a hidden fee and bad business. I wouldn't recommend them for domains at all.

Worst platform ever, made for dummies
I hate leaving this review, but it's honestly the worst platform I've ever used. It's made for people who aren't serious about business. Don't expect to build a cool UX site because the features are extremely limited. You can't even upload videos or images properly, even though it says you have space. I'm disgusted I came across this. I only found it because a client was using it, and now I'm helping them move to something better. Save yourself the trouble and stay away.

Shoutout to support for being kind during a hard time
I just want to give a shoutout to the customer support team for being so kind during a tough time in my life and finding a solution for me. Due to some unexpected issues, I had to retire my business and didn't need my website anymore. I had a yearly subscription and assumed renewal would be exactly one year after I signed up. Life got in the way and I ignored the reminder email, then realized I missed the cancellation window. I emailed support in a panic, and William kindly explained that payments are pro-rated so billing cycles end on the last day of the month, which is why it renewed. Even though I wasn't eligible for a refund, they made an exception and refunded most of it, just taking a small processing fee. Lesson learned, I'll read my emails next time, but I'm so grateful for the help during a stressful time. I'd definitely come back when I need another website.

Very pleased with this service
I signed up for the free service just to try building a website. I'm not tech-savvy and I've struggled with other tools in the past. But Website.com is amazing. Easy to understand and I designed a great site. What impressed me was how user-friendly it is. There are different templates and you can preview on mobile and desktop. This is definitely the best website design service I've seen. I'm really happy with my design and it's all thanks to the easy-to-follow system. I'll be signing up for paid service soon.
